Well, not completely OFF the subject. Just hear me out on this one- you are what you eat. Take care of yourself. God gave you only one body. You can’t replace it or buy a new one if something goes wrong. Watch what you put in your body. Eat organic. Eat alkaline food. This should become part of your lifestyle. We are VERY food conscious in our family- partly because we had to deal with cancer (sadly) and I had the wonderful privilege of talking to amazing doctors and professors about fighting disease through what we eat. I would like to share with all of you tips on how to eat healthy and provide your body with the best nutrients. Prevention is better than cure. I am a big believer that we should keep our bodies as Alkaline as possible. In translation- keeping our PH levels alkaline . Studies have shown that acidity in the body produces many serious disbalance and illnesses. I will go into these details in due course. Also it is important to know which foods are beneficial to one’s health, in particular why they are so good for you and to make sure that we are eating plenty of it.
Today I’d like to share my pick up energy smoothie that I make very often. You will need:
Chia Seeds (extremely high content of Omega 3 fatty acids)
Vegan Warrior protein powder ( Vanilla flavour) (Plant based protein-amino acids high in Arginine, Lysine, Leucine, and branched chain amino acids.)
Kale (beta carotene, vitamin K, vitamin C, rich in calcium. Kale is a source of two carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin)
Also you will need a MegaMix blender (or other brand- just make sure that it has high speed otherwise it won’t blend the ingredients well!)
Soak the Chia seeds in a bit of water. Cut the Kale, bananas,pitted dates and put into blender. Add the Chia seeds in gel format. Add almond milk according to what consistency you want and add the Warrior protein powder. I have a very sweet tooth and this is why I am using dates to overpower the taste of kale. The smoothie is delicious and gives the body the right fuel to make it through the day.
