American etalier Shopbop recently made me their Ambassador  and I also had the immense privilege to style a room at the Neo Bankside Penthouse  for their event during London fashion week along with the likes of Susie Bubble, Disney Roller girl and London Liberty Girl, London’s most influential bloggers. I also got to invite some of my friends to the event.   Music was provided by Alice Dellal, Tennesse Thomas and  Valentine Fillol Cordier. The Shopbop site has been relaunched, its cool now and the selection is really great- I had the immense pleasure/tragedy of going through all of it on  one of my insomniac nights. All of it! Am the Shopbop encyclopedia now, nice to meet you!

As a moodboard for my room I had  envisaged a 1920′s  art deco budoir – somewhere where Coco Chanel would have liked to spend time in . I looked for inspiration in the Coco and Stravinsky film’s esthetics of Coco’s interiors. Dark brown and grey shades. Masculine femininity-  the  fashion juxtaposition which I abide by-  but this cliche does exist in interior design as well. Boudoirs with art deco geometry  take away  that immensely  girlie frou four factor. My idea being too ambitious and with so little time ahead to redecorate we settled for a mini version of the above. I picked the smallest room with the idea that this space is private , where you feel relaxed , sheltered- like your small little nest where you run away from everything for a short while. I did say that this blog will have minimum writing but here I go rambling on  some more.

I chose to wear labels that are sold on Shopbop- Issa dress and Erickson Beamon jewelery The red bag in the background is by Loeffler Randall and is a part of my installation. You are wondering why I don’t have more pictures of my room? Blame technology, my camera died on the night of the event. Yeay. The red bag is an upscale version of a schoolboys bag. Not too big, not too small and a shoulder bag so you can just throw it over your shoulder when running to meetings. It does fit an Ipad.

Each blogger was given a list of items to pick from for a perfect wardrobe. The items would then be on display at our individual rooms.  I  wanted to have selection of pieces that were highly utilitarian. Useful, timeless pieces a woman should have in her wardrobe for every day or night. Useful fashion.

These Rag and Bone boots  perfectly illustrate that- indestructible ankle boot that are perfect for running around the city come autumn rain and cold weather.

Boots for skinny jeans, tunics and capes over …+ a very nice Maison Michel hat- MM6 Maison Martin Margiela

For a more ladylike version of a ankle boot we have this number by Jean Michel Cazabat

This Phillip Lim bag is a perfect travel bag. Computer, gym stuff, you name it- also ideal for cabin plane travel . Fits a lot.

Leather is really big this fall so some these leather  trousers on the menu courtesy of Rebecca Minkoff  A little black dress in leather from great Aussie brand Shakuhaci ( I wore one their dresses to the Tate Warner Music event, amazing!)

Here is a classic parka jacket for every day by Twenty8Twelve Print dresse: Missoni, Thakoon, Issa and Charlotte Ronson
