Torre di Pisa,  Via Fiori Chiari, 21, 20121 Milan, Italy,02 874877

Head to this lovely restaurant in Brera for some delicious Tuscan cuisine. Always packed and always great quality food.

Papermoon, Via Bagutta 1, 20122 Milano, Tel 02 76 02 22 97

Delicious pizza and pasta- for me an institution in Milan- I always end up here somehow for lunch. Writing this post gets my mouth salivating!

La Risacca, Via Marcona 6, 20129 Milan, 02 546804

This is by far the best fish restaurant in Milan. Incredible selection of seafood and great seafood dishes. Yum!

Bice, Via Borgospesso 12, 20121 Milan, 02 76002572

This place is really an institution- every dish that I have had here gives a new meaning to food! From the polenta with funghi porcini to spaghetti a le vongole through to the chestnut pure is amazing. I am having difficulty writing this post as all I can think about is how this food tasted-I’m having a Proust moment.

Compagnia Generale dei viaggatori naviganti e sognatori, Via Pasquale Sottocorno 27, 20129 Milan,02 5516154

Really cool vibe for this Japanese restaurant. Dim lighting and good music ( at least on the night that I went!)

Nobu, Via Gastone Pisoni 1,20121 Milan, 02 72318645

Safe bet for any dinner or lunch- Nobu chain located at the Armani building, very centrally located.

Baguta, Via Bagutta 14, Milan, 02-7600-2767

Founded in 1924 this restaurant became the meeting point for writers, painters and journalists. The food is good and the decoration is beautiful , very high ceilings and beautiful drawings on the walls. Artist Mario Vellani Marchi who was a painter and set designer for La Scala, painted  caricatures – 170 of these now adorn the walls of the Bagutti restaurant, making for a true art gallery. Feels like you have stepped into another era.

Rigolo , Via Solferino 11, 20121 Milan,02 86463220

Since 1958 this restaurant has been serving good Tuscan inspired cuisine. The 80′s seems to be the height of the social scene with actors+models+directors dinning here ( my dad was a regular so that’s how I know this useless piece of information). But it’s still good!

Victoria, Via Clerici, 1 20121 Milan, 02 8690792

Great steaks and pasta likewise. You can have a drink before dinner at the Victoria cafe which is always fun and packed. This cafe is equally great for morning coffees and chocolate brioche whilst reading the paper.Mmmmmm….sto mangiando il computer!!!
